Gustafson Launches a New Website

A New Digital Home for a Century of Seed-Treating Innovation

Gustafson Engineered Solutions is proud to announce the launch of our new website at GustafsonEngineeredSolutions.com, giving customers, partners, and the agricultural industry a new place to explore our equipment, learn about our capabilities, request parts and service, and discover the story behind the return of the Gustafson name.

For us, this website represents more than a new look online.

It represents a new chapter for a name that has been part of seed treating for 100 years.

The Name That Built Batch Treating Is Building Again

The Gustafson story began in 1926, when Ben Gustafson incorporated the Automatic Seed Treating Equipment Company in Fargo, North Dakota. Over the decades that followed, Gustafson became one of the most recognized names in seed treatment, eventually growing into a worldwide leader in the industry.

After a series of joint ventures and acquisitions, Bayer AG acquired full ownership of Gustafson in 2005. The Gustafson name was eventually retired in 2016, but the equipment, technology, and expertise behind it continued.

Then, in 2025, Bayer divested its seed treatment equipment operations.

The patents, fabrication equipment, and people who knew these machines came home to Minnesota, and Gustafson Engineered Solutions, LLC was born in Mazeppa.

Today, we’re carrying that legacy forward while building for what comes next.

Explore the Complete CBT Series

A major focus of the new website is our Continuous Batch Treater platform, including four proven models:

  • CBT 25
  • CBT 50
  • CBT 100
  • CBT 200

The CBT Series is designed to provide precise batch control, high-performance primary application, uniform mixing, and flexible automation for operations ranging from compact treating systems to high-volume seed plants.

The flagship CBT 200 can process up to 57,000 pounds per hour, depending on crop, cycle time, and operating conditions.

Customers can also learn about the CBT 200 Boost Assembly, an upgrade designed to increase the above-bowl chamber by approximately 20% while maintaining the familiar CBT platform.

Detailed model information, specifications, applications, and equipment features are now available throughout the new site.

More Than Individual Machines

Gustafson Engineered Solutions does much more than manufacture batch treaters.

Our team works with customers to engineer complete treating systems from initial consultation through production.

That can include:

Consultation
Understanding your site, crops, production requirements, chemistry, and goals.

Engineering
Developing site layouts, process flow diagrams, P&ID drawings, and equipment configurations tailored to your operation.

Fabrication
Machining, forming, welding, assembling, and testing equipment from our facility in Mazeppa, Minnesota.

Installation
Coordinating installation and automation support through our trusted partner network.

Lifecycle Support
Providing parts, service, and technical expertise long after the system enters production.

Customers can now begin that process directly through the website’s new Customer Center.

OEM Parts and Support for the Installed Base

We also know that many Gustafson machines have been working for years, and keeping that installed base running is an important part of our mission.

Gustafson Engineered Solutions serves as the distribution and inventory point for the Gustafson equipment product line, providing OEM parts and expert support for both current and legacy equipment.

Whether you need a wear component, mixing bowl, replacement assembly, technical assistance, or help identifying a part on an older machine, the new website makes it easier to connect directly with the team that knows the equipment.

And when an original part is no longer sitting on a shelf, our in-house fabrication capabilities give us the ability to help solve problems that can’t always be answered by simply looking up a part number.

Built in the Heart of Farm Country

Our equipment is designed and built from a 7,500-square-foot facility located on 10 acres of Minnesota farmland in Mazeppa, about 70 miles southeast of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Inside, approximately 6,000 square feet of manufacturing space supports CNC machining, forming, welding, fabrication, assembly, and other production capabilities under one roof.

Outside are the fields and farms that remind us every day who this equipment ultimately serves.

Gustafson is also proudly woman-owned and family-run, led by CEO and majority owner Sara Betcher and COO and co-founder Josh Betcher.

Together, the Gustafson team brings more than 84 years of combined experience with Gustafson and Bayer seed treatment equipment.

That knowledge doesn’t live in an archive or a corporate presentation. It lives in the people designing equipment, answering customer questions, walking the shop floor, and building machines today.

Take a Look Around

The new Gustafson Engineered Solutions website was built to make it easier to find the information you need, whether you’re researching a new batch treater, planning a complete seed-treating system, looking for parts, or simply interested in learning more about where the Gustafson name has been and where it is going.

We invite you to explore the new site, learn more about the CBT Series, visit our Customer Center, meet our team, and see what we’re building in Mazeppa.

After a century of innovation in seed treating, Gustafson is back under its own name.

And we’re building again.
